Dubai Properties Group (DPG), the company behind Tiger Woods Dubai, last month confirmed that work on the $1.1bn development had halted following the emirate’s real estate crash. The $1.1bn Tiger Woods Dubai project was initially scheduled to open in September 2009. Original plans for the 55 million sq ft project included 287 luxury villas and mansions, a boutique hotel and a clubhouse.

Three years ago Tiger Woods announced plans to design his first U.S. golf course on a high plateau in the Blue Ridge Mountains outside Asheville, N.C. The developer, Cliffs Communities, planned a 7,300-yard course, a wellness center, a spa and 1,200 homes spread out over 3,200 acres.
Woods costs IMG $4.6m in endorsement fees
CNBC has reported that a leaked document it obtained belonging to IMG shows that Tiger Woods’ loss of endorsement income cost the agency $4.6 million in fees last year.
